15/05/2015

The kick off meeting of the BLUE MED FAB Flight Efficiency Task Force was held in Athens ACC on May 12th, 2015. Within the Operational Aspects Working Group, this is the last Task force that has been started in accordance with the BLUE MED FAB Implementation Program (BM-IP), namely the reference document of the FAB.

Driven by the Greek chairmanship of Harry Panorios, the participants of the meeting were: Dimitra Taniskidou, Maria Kaparounaki, Evangelia Gounaridou and Georgios Triantos for HCAA, Robert Sant and Naomi Galea for MATS, Haris Antoniades and Andreas Xenofontos for DCAC, Giuseppe Romano and Ambra Iacovoni for ENAV.

The first goal of the FEP task Force Action Plan is to deliver a FAB Flight Efficiency Plan hence agreeing over the methodology to be used, over the identification of the data to collect and over the information to be communicated. The publication of the first BLUE MED FAB Flight Efficiency Plan is scheduled for March 2016.

Another important objective of the FEP Task Force is to propose its achievements to the BLUE MED stakeholders through an annual meeting of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to be planned in 2016 upon publication of the BLUE MED FAB Flight Efficiency Plan.

During the meeting, ENAV has had the opportunity to present the work methodology used in the definition of its Flight Efficiency Plan (according to the guidelines of EUROCONTROL, IATA and CANSO) and to describe the CRM activities aimed at meeting its customers’ needs.

It has been agreed that both models will be used as a starting point for the realization of the objectives of the FEP Task Force.
