On the 23rd and 24th of June in Larnaca, Cyprus, the BLUE MED FAB gathered its ANSPs and Member States representatives for the meetings of the ANSP Committee and of the Governing Board. For the first time, the BLUE MED Governing Board saw the participation of the representatives from the CAA of Israel and of the Israeli Airport Authority.
Both meetings achieved important results with, inter alia, agreed operational scenarios to overcome the expected capacity shortfall in Summer 2015.
Moreover, a common path towards the arrangements for Summer 2016 and the mitigations for the expected ATC capacity constraints has also been identified, with the engagement of all ANSPs of the FAB and the support of the Member States.
The BLUE MED FAB Participants agreed also the need to align investment needs in view of the European Deployment initiatives, that will be jointly monitored and tackled starting from the next INEA Call for Proposals.
